Location: Cardiff

Your role in a nutshell: As a consultant at WHS, I work on a range of projects from our Cardiff office including hydrological assessments, hydraulic modelling, environmental impact assessments, and more.

When you joined WHS: 2022

Your experience: I graduated from Cardiff University with a Marine Geography BSc degree in 2021, and before joining WHS I contributed to projects at Plymouth Marine Laboratory and the British Antarctic Survey. My dissertation focused on revising scientific assumptions in plankton dynamics.  My interest in water systems stems from integrating the physical, chemical, and ecological elements to provide holistic project solutions.

Why you like working for WHS: I enjoy being part of a tightly knit team and learning from my colleagues who are amongst the top hydrological experts in the UK. This provides a unique opportunity to learn from their experience and skillsets in a welcoming work environment. It is also imperative to me that I work for a company that has strong ethical values.

What drives you: I am driven by helping other people and developing solutions for clients that incorporate holistic environmental solutions.

What you like doing when not working: I enjoy sports, particularly football, tennis, and running. I am a long-suffering Charlton Athletic supporter, and frequently wonder what I did to deserve such a fate! I have run a few half-marathons in Wales and hope to do more in future.
