Tracey Haxton BSc (Hons) MSc

Tracey Haxton is a Senior Hydrological Consultant at WHS. Following the completion of an M.Sc. in Water Resources she joined the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology in January 2001, has been involved with Wallingford HydroSolutions since its inception in 2005 and has been full time since 2007.

Tracey was extensively involved in the implementation of Low Flows 2000 within England and Wales for the Environment Agency (EA). Subsequently Tracey developed a revised version of Low Flows 2000 for SEPA in Scotland and in the Isle of Man on behalf of the Isle of Man Government. Having previously completed work researching the main sources of errors within water use characterisation, Tracey is currently managing the full characterisation and evaluation of water use within England and Wales. This will subsequently feed into the regulatory and WFD related processes of the EA.

As well as developing models for flow estimation Tracey has developed regional methodologies for rapid habitat assessment and the delineation of potential pollution zones groundwater surface water interactions. In addition she is continuing to develop and utilise rainfall runoff models in order to assess the impact of climate change on river flows at both local and national scales.
