Matt Holmes BEng (Civil) (Hons) and BNatRes

Matt Holmes has worked in the field of water resource engineering since 1995. Matt graduated from Newcastle University (Australia) with a Civil Engineering degree, and then subsequently graduated with a Natural Resources degree from the University of New England (Australia). His experience in the Australian water resources consultancy sector has included; small to medium scale water resource strategies, flood studies, urban hydrology, stormwater water quality management, sewer and water system design and civil design projects.

In the UK Matt has worked in applied research relating to low flow hydrology and has been responsible for the management of technology transfer to the UK water sector and regulatory authorities. Matt has worked in developing countries for water resource planning projects. His UK consultancy experience includes projects implementing the European Water Framework Directive in England and Wales, river regime classification for environmentally sensitive sites, water resource assessments and aquatic impact assessment projects.
