LowFlows

LowFlows will provide you with catchment characteristics and flow statistics for any specified catchment using internally-held spatial data sets. You simply import the catchment boundary in either a simple CSV data file format or as an ESRI polygon shape file.

With LowFlows you will be able to estimate:

• Annual and monthly mean flows (m3/s)
• Annual runoff (mm/yr)
• Base Flow Index (BFI)
• Annual and monthly natural flow duration statistics (including Q95) view screenshot
• Annual and monthly flow duration statistics for an influenced flow regime (based on user supplied average monthly quanitified influences) view screenshot
• Flow statistics with and without the impact of natural surface water storage (only for catchments in Scotland).

The LowFlows software includes:

• National coverage for the UK (currently excluding Northern Ireland)
• Spatial orientation by hydrometric area
• Contextual information, such as map backdrops, can be browsed into graphical user interface for contextual purposes as either image files or ESRI shape file view screenshot
• Tabular and graphical presentation of results and export functionality. view screenshot

The LowFlows software is available on a three-year lease from our online shop. Lease holders will be eligible for both free upgrades and technical support for the duration of the lease. An unsupported educational use version of the software, applicable to two hydrometric areas, is also available for teaching purposes within recognised educational establishments.
