Low Flows 2000 Lite

Low Flows 2000 Lite provides access to all the natural flow estimation procedures within Low Flows 2000 but requires the user to import a catchment boundary from either a simple CSV format file or an ESRI shape file. The user has the option of storing imported catchments within the software for repeat use. The Lite version is suitable for the low volume user who does not want to the carry the overhead costs of the Digital Terrain Model and River Networks implemented within the Enterprise version.

Within Low Flows 2000 Lite the defined catchment boundary is used to automatically derive relevant catchment characteristics from internally-held spatial data sets. The hydrological models within the software are then applied to estimate the following natural flow statistics for that catchment.

• Mean annual flow
• Mean monthly flows
• Annual flow duration statistics
• Monthly flow duration statistics
• User-defined seasonal flow duration statistics
• Base flow index (BFI)

The software does not incorporate the functionality from Low Flows 2000 Enterprise version for storing and manipulating artificial influences however the user has the option of entering 12 values representing the total monthly abstraction profile and 12 monthly values representing the total monthly discharge profile for the catchment. Using the same methodology as Low Flows 2000 Enterprise these are used by the software to estimate the artificially influenced:

• Mean annual flow
• Mean monthly flows
• Annual flow duration statistics
• Monthly flow duration statistics

Low Flows 2000 Lite provides the same full tabular and graphical export of result as the Enterprise version so that results can be professionally incorporated into reports and analyses.
