About us
Wallingford HydroSolutions was founded by staff from the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (CEH) in 2004. From inception our vision has been to provide high quality consultancy services and environmental software systems to the water and environmental sectors at competitive prices.
WHS has a team of experienced technical staff including leading UK environmental scientists and engineers specialising in all aspects of the water cycle. Our priority is to work with our clients to understand their requirements and to deliver high-class solutions within their budget and operational constraints.
Our software packages are industry-standard solutions. We provide the LowFlows software for the estimation of river flows within ungauged catchments and - working in collaboration with CEH - we are the providers of the WINFAP-FEH and ReFH modelling packages and distribute the FEH CD-ROM. In keeping with changing industry requirements and trends, the software development team continues to update and expand our product range - such as new solutions for hydropower design and catchment definition which we are launching this year.
Our integrated approach and breadth of experience enables us to meet the multidisciplinary requirements of environmental regulation and problem solving. Operating out of three offices in the UK, our approach ensures commonality of quality and experience while ensuring that our local knowledge is brought to bear on any project. This open and reliable approach to our business has underpinned our consistent growth since 2004 and will continue to be at the heart of our company into the future.
WHS is committed to continuously improving company performance and customer satisfaction and we are proud of our ISO 9001 certification for the provision of environmental consultancy services, development of hydrological software and associated training. WHS is a sustainable and environmentally conscious company. Within our operations we aim to promote the concept of sustainable development, prevent pollution and minimise the environmental impact of our office activities including those arising from the provision of our services.
