Helen Miller

Helen is a graduate hydrological consultant at WHS. After completing a degree in ecology and a Masters degree in restoration ecology Helen completed a PhD thesis in association with Lancaster University. This has given her experience in quantifying physical processes in lakes, carrying out fieldwork and laboratory analyses. The work was carried out in the context of determining the mechanisms responsible for the internal supply of phosphorus to the surface waters of lakes.

Helen is a member of the Institute of Biology and her career experience includes significant data collection, physical calculations, analysis and interpretation, as well as experience in ecological work. She has wide experience of field investigations including studies into lake restoration, the use of radon as a tracer for mixing in lakes and mechanisms responsible for the distribution of nutrients spatially and temporally in a lake water column. Helen has worked at research sites in Wales, England, Spain and Australia.
