WHS offers consultancy services in the water sector, particularly in water resources, hydrometric services, environmental impact assessment, flood risk assessment and water quality modelling and monitoring.

We develop and supply industry-standard hydrological software packages and training, including the Flood Estimation Handbook for flood risk assessment and LowFlows for estimating river flow within ungauged catchments.

WHS has two offices based in Wallingford and Dundee. Our head office is based at the site of the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (CEH) in Oxfordshire while projects within Scotland are led by WHS Dundee. We maintain close links with both CEH and the University of Dundee, which ensures that we continue to keep abreast of the latest developments in environmental science.
